Infrastructure Group Bulletins

In this section you’ll find copies of the Network Rail Infrastructure Group safety bulletins regularly sent out to staff working on the Network Rail infrastructure. These cover a range of different safety issues, and are often issued in response to a specific incident.

Each new bulletin we issue will be stored here, and there will also be an archive of past bulletins. So you can download any that you missed, or want to read again.

Whilst visiting the Walsall Training Centre yesterday (8th April) I noticed that there are two ISG safety bulletins issued in March since Number 279. Are these available elsewhere for Non Network Rail personnel or is this the only source

Hi. I know the bulletins are updated on here but is there a distribution list which I can be added to. This would be beneficial for a quicker to distribute the info.

Is there a central system within Network Rail where an organisation can register to ensure that all Safety Alerts are received as soon as they are issued.

Re: Bulletin 306 - Maybe well of the mark here, but didn't HSE put out an notice about the need to prevent access to rotating parts on such rigs? HSE link: http://www.hse.gov.uk/foi/internalops/sims/constrct/2_11_04/

Tom, you are right! This is captured in the bullet "CE marked (or equivalent)". PUWER requires that the manufacturer has "taken effective measures to prevent access to dangerous parts of machinery". We are checking info from the owners as we speak.
